Fun & Clubs

  • Red Hatters

As well as recent events hosted by the Kinch family such as the Herbal Walk, Herbal Winter Workshop, Finding Stillness – an introduction to Meditation Techniques, there are many resident organised groups and associations. One very colourful group of ladies often seen on the park on the way to meetings are the Red Hat Ladies!  They organise regular meetings often inviting guest speakers.

The Elms fishing club has been in existence almost as long as The Elms has!  They organise regular meets and hold matches.

There are in fact so many clubs and events taking place at The Elms and in the area… Tai Chi, Art, Walking groups, Gardening Club….  that we recommend all visitors and new residents check out the Elms Advertiser publication and Trentside Links magazine both of which contain interesting and valuable information along with articles and advertisements.   As if this wasn’t enough Torksey Action Group have recently launched their new website detailing many of the clubs already mentioned together with Torksey and District Croquet Club, Tea Dancing, Book Club, History Group…honestly the list is endless!
