Luxury Retirement Village
Our purpose built retirement village park is based in the rural setting of Lincolnshire and offers an unrivalled peaceful and idyllic setting. Watch our short video to see The Elms come to life….
The Elms covers an area of over 65 acres sitting alongside the Fossdyke Navigation in the historical village of Torksey, and this beautiful setting helps to make The Elms one of the most picturesque villages in the UK. Within the boundaries are 10 acres of protected parkland offering a central open space for residents to enjoy park home living.
What Makes Our Park So Idyllic?
The parkland then flows into the Island Lake area, which is the home to a large variety of wildlife including our runner ducks! Sweeping down the park from the entrance is John’s Wood. Our woodland walk is the most tranquil of places full of wildlife, plants, herbs, trees and a bench…to sit and take it all in. Then the canal walk, which runs the opposite length of the park, is the home to our moorings and ends at the Torksey Lock basin. It is this setting and these beautiful surroundings that make The Elms one of the most delightful villages to live in. What’s available to you at The Elms Village in Lincoln?
At The Elms you can get direct access to select visiting trades people; Curtis of Lincoln for butcher and baker produce, Mike Poole Grocers from Saxilby, a Fishmonger and a regular milk and paper round all visit the park weekly with their ‘fresh to the door’ goods. Little touches like this are what help us to stand out from other retirement villages, and help to make our residents feel right at home. We have also built a Medical Centre in the village of Torksey itself, which runs a regular daily surgery. It is well within walking distance of The Elms. We have our own boat moorings, tourer storage, canal side fishing as well as the many clubs and associations that are run by our resident’s. Of course we couldn’t forget our own resident run mini bus, which offers a flexible, on-site outreach into the community and surrounding areas. The mini bus timetable is published regularly in the Elms Advertiser, which also posts other useful information and is a forum for local business, trades people and services to advertise to residents of the village. The mobile Library continues to be popular with residents.
Our part exchange scheme
Over the years, we have encountered many residents whose first concerns are how they would be able to sell their homes to make way for The Elms. The most prominent comment that people make when viewing the village is how they would be able to sell their current property. Well, we have listened to the feedback and have found the solution to overcome this concern and many others like it! The answer is that you can sell your property sooner than you think!
We understand how difficult it is within the current climate to sell your home and although we can’t buy your current home – Silverbridge Properties can! We have partnered up with Silverbridge properties to make the selling process of your current home so much simpler than you can imagine! Again, this is what makes us one of the most unique retirement villages in the UK. They offer a system where they will buy your home, allowing you to fulfil your retirement dream with a move to The Elms.
If You’re Having Troubles Selling Your Home, You Needn’t Worry….
With Silverbridge, you have a guaranteed buyer. And the whole process can be wrapped up in six weeks! If you would like to know how much they would offer for your property, then give us a call now and we can discuss this further. All we need is a brief description of your current property as well as the name of the estate agents and we can provide a free, no obligation quote for you.
